Switched to a french press for this darker roast and it's shockingly smooth, no bitterness at all. The Colombian beans hold up just as well pulled as espresso, which I wasn't expecting from a dark roast.

Pulled a shot with these beans this afternoon and the crema was rich and dark, exactly what I hope for from a darker roast. Colombian origin really comes through—smooth, no bitterness even without sugar. Already ordered another bag.
