Alt mørkt

I usually take my coffee with cream but this dark roast is the first one I've drank straight. It's got that smoky, almost bitter bite to it that stands up fine on its own. Two cups in and I'm still thinking about it.

The crema on this ridiculously dark roast is absolutely gorgeous, thick and almost syrupy. Those East African beans bring a surprising brightness that cuts through the heavy body, and it's the only thing I've found that holds up to a splash of cream without vanishing.

This blend is ridiculously dark, just like it says, and that smoky depth cuts right through milk without losing its punch. I've been drinking it black every morning since the bag arrived and the Latin American and East African beans give it a surprisingly bold, almost cocoa-like finish.
